Fun Thursday

The Tri-County Library in Mabank is holding various events throughout the summer for children.  This Thursday was their kick off party and I was excited to attend with the boys.  Curtis almost fell asleep on the way there.  Both boys were a little shy and apprehensive at first but really started to warm up to the other children and have fun after a few minutes.

Xander mainly played with the bubble machine whereas Curtis preferred the Karaoke machine.  The flashing lights and the music had him mesmerized.  The boys enjoyed their goldfish snacks and the Moms who were there signed me up for the Mabank Area Moms Association.  They assured me that there were other fathers in the group as well.  I am excited for Pamela and Jane to get to know them and start making more friends.

After the party the boys and I left to go back to the train museum only to see that it was closed for lunch.  So we decided to go ahead and go check out another library in Seven Points, I heard that we missed quite a great program on Tuesday about dinosaurs.  The GPS however decided to lead me to a library that did not exist.  Libraries do not just sit in the middle of roads.  As helpful as GPS can be it is also a bother.

Xander really loves Squeakers, as I am calling the kitten.  He gets so excited and happy when he is able to interact with the, "baby cat."

Two very different eaters sit at the same table.  Xander thoughtfully gets what he wants from the crackers, the PB&J centers while Curtis just dives in.

After dinner playtime was fun but messy.  I decided to take the boys outside for a few minutes before the bugs started coming out.  I got the basketball hoop out of the garage and Xander made some shots, he was mostly concerned however with flying his car off the porch so he had an excuse to get into the grass.  I was trying to keep him out of the grass though because of all the fire ants.
