We sat down and had a planning session where we went over what we would be doing over the next week and what we wanted to eat. Then after giving the boys some playtime we headed out to Ennis to pick up some groceries and visit a store called "Dirt Cheap." It was a pretty cool store. Once we got back we started cleaning anything and everything.
Pamela and Jane were talking on Friday about doing more crafts as a family and while I was thinking of projects for me to do I remembered something that I did while I was in high school. I could not sleep until I dug them out to show Pamela.
Sunday morning we got the boys ready for church. I translated for sacrament meeting which was very difficult but rewarding. Pamela worked with the primary to help them get ready for their program. The Primary Presidency was tickled pink about the amount of improvement the children have had since Pamela became their chorister.
Since Curtis stayed up so late on Saturday night he was really sleepy Sunday morning. Too sleepy for breakfast! After about a half hour he finally started eating!
Church ended with a nice snack for the fathers that was provided by the Primary. Pamela and I decided to get the pool out since it had been so hot lately. Curtis being so tired fell asleep on the way home from church.
Xander got out of the pool for awhile to eat the lunch that Pamela made for him.
Curtis finally woke up and decided he was hungry.
Pamela really wanted me to take a selfie with the cat under the table. Comet just looks annoyed, "What are you doing human?"
Pamela's birthday cards and my Fathers' Day cards.
Monday morning was very busy as we finished cleaning stuff up and started getting ready to leave for Plano. We fed the boys, cleaned up, and Pam gave Baby Cat a bath.
In Plano Xander and Curtis had their swim lesson. For some reason the boys were a bit more shy about the water than normal. Of course when it was time to get out then Xander was happy and having a blast and not wanting to get out! All in all it went well. He and I practiced kicking his legs and I tried to get him to blow bubbles.
After getting out of swim lessons we went as a family to Kid Mania for a second time. It was so much fun to climb around with Curtis and bounce Xander. The boys had a blast.
After climbing around like monkeys for an hour we went out to dinner at an Italian restaurant and then went shopping for some storage bins. Xander informed Pamela, "Space is up," he pointed to the stars. Finally we headed out to the airport where we picked up my Mom! So excited to have her visiting our little family here in Gun Barrel City.
