Zoo to Ourselves

Pamela and I took the boys to one of the biggest zoos in the country to look at the lights.  Pamela decided to go early to get good parking and also to enjoy the park and see some of the animals.  We walked through most of the park with the boys!  One goat was sticking its lips out of the gate, so Xander jumped down and gave it a big kiss!

Malcolm decided he just had to have a cougar after looking at this pretty kitty walking around.  He has been teased a bit for that particular Christmas wish.

The flash started to get in the way a little so I started using my phone camera more and more.  I had brought a separate camera to save storage space and battery.

Xander was very excited about different rocks and trees that made a cone type shape.  He dubbed them all volcanoes.  He learned about volcanoes from a youtube music video on the letter V, and now they are all the rage!

Xander has always loved Penguins.  He could not contain his excitement upon seeing these birds.  He was so happy!

Being some of the few people in the zoo combined with the fact that there were several exhibits closed meant that we could get through a lot more of the zoo in one day than what most people would be able to do.  We went through North America, Asia, Congo, and the Aquarium.  We even did get to see a lot of animals that prefer warmer weather thanks to indoor enclosures.
