My Christmas Eve began at around Midnight that morning. Curtis woke up very sick and threw up all over me. I ended up staying up all night with him. Every time I would start to drift to sleep he would wake up coughing, gagging, or crying. Poor little man!
Being up all night did not mean that I could sleep in. Xander was healthy, happy, and energetic that morning so it was a trip to the park with Malcolm in the early morning hours. It was pretty cold that day so we only stayed for about 20 minutes before coming back to the house.
Curtis woke up and started to feel better. The family dressed in sweaters to attend Christmas Mass at St. Peters. The Miller side of Pamela's family is Catholic. We attended mass with Pamela's father George, her Grandmother, Aunt, Uncle, and Cousin. I started Curtis off in the cry room and then moved into the main chapel with the family when he was feeling better.
After church the plan was to go see the Christmas lights around the city of Columbus. Pamela's Uncle Tim had mapped out the route and was very excited to show us around. We were a small caravan of two cars to fit everyone. Xander and Curtis loved going to see the various displays. One house in particular was dubbed a castle by Xander.
After looking at various houses we went into the heart of downtown.
One special thing that Tim did was arrange a stop that told the story of the first Christmas. We got out of our cars and spent some family time looking at the displays.
