Thanksgiving Break Part I - One on One with Xander

Corsicana ISD had a half day to get things started for Thanksgiving.  I arrived home and signed for some mail and came in.  Xander and Pamela were both still in school.  I looked through the mail and made some phone calls.  After that we were off to pick up Xander from school.  Curtis fell asleep in the car.  We ran an errand and then came back home.

Jane left to get Pamela and the two of them would end up being gone most of the evening trying to run an errand, which meant that it was just me and Xander.

The first thing Xander made was a snowman.

Xander loves Play Dough.  Every once in awhile I will play too, I usually make animals or dinosaurs and Xander usually smashes what I make while I shout, "Oh no," in a silly way.

After the destruction of the second triceratops I decided to make something that he would like, a pumpkin.  He loved it so much he asked me to get his real pumpkin down.  He started giving it faces with Play Dough, narrating the book Five Little Pumpkins, and decided to proclaim that we were having a "Pumpkin Party."

Jane called me to give me a status update and I was repeating what Xander had just said, "Welcome to the Pumpkin Party?"

Jane replied a little confused, "Well that's a little creepy."

After playing with the Play Dough for awhile Xander wanted to go outside and play for awhile.  I got him a coat and we went out.  As you can probably tell I am enjoying a new toy from Google.  If I take a bunch of photos from the same place it will put together animations for me.

Pamela and Jane finally got home a little after Xander and I came back into the house.  I went into the room to start the process of waking up Curtis.  It was a long process.  Poor guy was really out of it, unfortunately because he slept for so long he ended up being awake ALL NIGHT!
