Additions

Back when we lived in Pinon we adopted Comet.  Comet has been with us through our crazy days in Memphis and is still part of the family here in Texas.  Pamela had a friend with a litter of cats, the Momma had died and the little ones needed taken care of.  We took in a little kitten this summer and bottle fed her.  We went back and forth a lot on names but finally settled on Loca.

I later heard about a group of abandoned kittens that were left to die.  Thus we ended up with Max.  Pamela and I had agreed to Sven but Jane didn't like it.  We went back and forth for a long time but finally we all gave in and his name is Max.

I love dogs and I am happier with a dog than without one.  Without a dog in our lives our yard became a meeting ground for skunks.  Apparently the smell of dog pee keeps them away.  Pamela and Jane decided to adopt a puppy that had been living underneath someone's house!

Having the four of them has certainly made life more interesting in the Maynard home.
