Days Without Grandmas

I haven't updated the blog in a long while but there are several posts that I started writing and just never got around to posting.  So here goes...

Wednesday was an exciting day that was jammed packed with activities for the boys.  In the morning I attempted to take them to an activity to learn about and touch alpacas.  Xander was interested but Curtis was not.  Curtis stayed up late and woke up early, the moment he was not getting his way he threw a major tantrum and started hitting Xander.  Xander became upset that one Curtis was hitting him, and two that Curtis was getting so much of my attention.  Despite the drama Xander was able to pet an alpaca and see a couple of them up close.

During my Mom’s visit Xander actually broke our love seat through his love of jumping on things.  My parents had decided to get us a trampoline on the spot.  After our morning with the alpacas Pamela and I set it up.

The boys loved it, it was a huge success.  After a while Curtis got really hot.  He got out of the trampoline and got the inflatable pool, he then moved it next to the hose and looked at me to make sure I was picking up on his hint.

Wednesday – alpacas, trampoline, pool party, what a day!

Thursday we took the boys to a presentation about African drums.  Unfortunately they just weren’t into it, they liked the music but they did not want to watch the presentation.  Luckily we were able to hear the music from another room where the boys were allowed to play.

Pamela and I worked hard on various projects around the house while the boys played and watched Mickey Mouse.  Xander and Curtis both went to sleep early and both woke up in the middle of the night.  I cuddled with Curtis and got him back to sleep quickly.  Xander however did not go back to sleep until about 4:30 AM.  Since I wanted to get some work done in the morning it no longer made sense for me to go back to bed.
